Ratification CERD: yes in 1969, Hungary has also agreed to individual petitions under Article 14.


Extracts from state reply to Durban Review questionnaire:
The law CXXV of 2003 concerning equal treatment and promotion of equal opportunity came into force in January 2004. The aim is to proceed against all forms of discrimination, the right for dignified human respect, the protection of human and fundamental civil rights and the provision of efficient legal defense for those suffering discrimination. In June 2006 the Hungarian Parliament adopted the Decade of Roma Inclusion Program Strategic Plan.
