Ratification CERD: yes in 1971, the Netherlands has also agreed to individual petitions under Article 14.

The Netherlands has become party to several international instruments that are relevant to combating racism and racial discrimination. Criminal, civil and administrative law provisions against racism and discrimination have been fine-tuned. However, the tone of the Dutch public and political debate around integration and other issues relevant to ethnic minorities has experienced a dramatic deterioration. The Muslim, and notably the Moroccan and Turkish, communities have been particularly affected by stigmatization and discrimination.
