Extracts from state reply to Durban Review questionnaire:
The responsibility of combating racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance is a responsibility of the state and there is a process under way to establish a national plan to enhance human rights. Society in Qatar is diverse and there are many migrant workers and no xenophobia and intolerance has been observed; this diversity would create racial problems if preventive measures were not taken; that is why the government is taking all the measures to promote the participation of all on equal basis.
