Ratification CERD: yes in 1972, Sweden has also agreed to individual petitions under Article 14.
Extracts from state reply to Durban Review questionnaire:
Sweden's national anti-discrimination legislation has been strengthened since the DDPA's adoption and two national plans of action have been adopted and followed up, with a number of initiatives. Racist abuses occur in Sweden on a regular basis in spite of the efforts made. The 2006-2009 national plan of action on human rights addresses discrimination in the enjoyment of economic and social rights, including the right to work, housing, health and education.
